Our Services

Consultation for neurological conditions using online Telemedicine.

Consultations are limited to telemedicine visits, from the patient’s home or another office.

They may be done directly with the patient, but some cases may benefit from the assistance of a family member or nurse to enhance the visit.

Conditions treated include but are not limited to:

Headache, localized pains (including limb pains), weakness, paralysis, numbness, loss of consciousness (not due to cardiac causes), loss of vision not due to eye problems, double vision, abnormal speech, abnormal gait or balance, confusion, memory loss, tremors, uncoordinated movements, stiffness, tics,

insomnia, excessive sleepiness, snoring.

We Accept Payment from these Entities Prior to Telemed Appointment.

Mackinac Neurology provides only telemedicine consultations by appointment. On call, emergencies, & stroke services are not provided. Patients experiencing urgent or emergency difficulties should call 911, or proceed to their local urgent care clinic or emergency center. Neurological procedures cannot be provided by telemedicine.

Services not provided:

On call (night or weekend), emergency call, stroke services.

Emergencies require local emergency department procedures including EMG not currently available (EEG remote read)

Charges are by:

Physician time: which includes face-to-face visit, review of records and tests, and coordination with other physicians or medical personnel.

HIPAA privacy:

Mackinac Neurology is HIPAA compliant.

Scheduling:

In order to schedule appointments, registration must be complete (including an ID).

Cancellations:

Late cancellations (24 hours prior) or no-shows will be charged as a visit. *As stated on forms, re: Mackinac Neurology patient policy.

First Time Patients:

To begin the process to schedule appointments and become a patient, please send an email to our office to first register for access to the patient portal.
